One of the first things my mom people ask us is "When are you guys going to have a baby". Our answer to them is we have two, Marley and Minnie Mouse. Marley is an 8 year old Hound mix. Truly the most loving dog on the planet! Minnie Mouse is a 1 year old Chihuahua Dachshund mix. We joke that she is the "spawn of Satan" but we really love her and she is not as bad as we make her sound.

Justin and I strongly believe that if you are not going to spoil your pets then why have them?!?! My FIL has said on many occasions that, if he believed in reincarnation he would want to come back as one of our dogs. They currently have two $20 beds (one for upstairs, one for downstairs), sleep in our bed at night, have more toys than most children, and get enough love everyday to last a lifetime.
It's amazing to me how these little creatures find such a huge place in our hearts. So for now our puppys are our babies :)
